About Us

The Mentone Lodge is located about 1 mile West of the Alabama-Georgia border.  We provide towels, blankets, pillows, silverware, glasses, and dishes.  There is a full kitchen with dishwasher, coffee maker, pots and pans.

Mentone Lodge Musings...

The setting is a ranch style lodge (2000 sq. ft.) with 5 private sleeping areas... the Courtyard room, the Bluebird room, the Fawn room, the Buggy room, and Cottage room.  Three modern bathrooms, a shower, and a bathtub.  A vaulted ceiling encloses nostalgic surroundings of the past... a dart board, game table, comfortable chairs, couches, benched screened-in porch, a working oven, two dining tables, an entertainment center, gas

The courtyard with umbrella table adjoins the kitchen area inviting intimate breakfasts... overlooking the flower garden and well... a few steps away, the outdoor pavilion, encompasses a wood burning stone fireplace, picnic tables, gas grill, swing, and benches... a five minute walk finds you at the fishing dock and pond... a row boat beckons your indulgence of a romantic event... or just plain fishing... the sheltered pole barn provides a private time escape accompanied by food drink and conversation overlooking the pond... forest tree line and stunning sunset at dusk... walk a-bit further... and discover secluded areas.  Oak trees with rocking chairs overlooking the pond and main barn and meadows.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Features Inside The Lodge

Our lodge offers up to 5 sleeping rooms, 3 baths, furnace, full modern kitchen, a large supper table, dining room and table, game room, washer and dryer, entertainment center with gas log fireplace.  Sleeping accommodations: all bedrooms have heat and overhead fans, bed linens and blankets are provided for groups up to 16 comfortably.  The Courtyard room has a French door exit to the courtyard, a queen size bed, single bed, dresser, closet, and full bathroom with bathtub.  The Bluebird room has a view of the meadow and woods, a double bed, dresser, closet, and reading chair.  The Fawn room has a view of the meadow and barn, a bunk bed (single on top and double lower), and single frame bed with closet and night stand with a bathroom across the hall.  The Buggy room has a door to the horse-buggy turnaround with a view of the meadow and tree line, has a comfortable double adult futon, and adjacent half bath.  The Cottage room has a queen size bed, dresser, tv, vcr, and window also overlooking the buggy.  The Game room has a double futon, and single couch.  The entertainment center has a single couch.

Modern kitchen facilities -- includes all utensils, silverware, dishes, pots and pans, dishwasher, bowls, steak knives, baking dishes, Tupperware, paper towels, oven ,range top, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, broiler, 2 coffee makers (4 cup and 1 cup), endless coffee and creamer.
